for winning the National Sports Turf Managers Award for Top High School Football Field in 2007.

Coaches, managers, contractors, maintenance employees, etc. that make pesticide or fertilizer applications on school or private leagues sports fields are Required by law to:

(1)    Pass a Category 20 Certification Exam (given by the Ky. Dept. of Agriculture, Division of Environmental Services)

(2)    Maintain Certification by obtaining continuing education credits related to sports field management.

The Kentucky Turf grass Council will have testing and specific sports field training at the upcoming Kentucky Turf and Landscape Management Short Course.  The short course program and specific registration information can be found at www.uky.edu/agriculture/ukturf.
